Would you like to learn how to improve on your ISA investment returns?

If the answer is Yes, you've found the right website. We can help you to achieve your financial goals. We can teach you how to re-organise your personal finances and intelligently invest surplus cash by using your ISA allowance.

What is an ISA?

If you have some extra money that you are looking to invest rather than spend you might have thought of opening an Individual Savings Account (commonly known as an ISA. Over 9 million others have already done so.

In the simplest terms, an ISA is a place to put your savings legally out of the reach of the taxman.  An ISA is not an actual investment, but the name of a wrapper that goes around investments, sheltering them from the Inland Revenue.

Every year you can put aside any amount up to the limit set by the Government and earn tax-free interest from savings in a cash, stocks and shares or insurance account. You can either invest a lump sum or you can arrange to save a certain amount every month.

All assets held within an ISA are free from capital gains tax. So not only is there no need to inform the Revenue when you sell your holdings, you can also trade freely within the ISA without having to worry about a potential capital gains tax liability.

When you want to take money out of your ISA you can do so anytime without penalty or notice; and if you want to take an income from your ISA it will be tax-free too.

Who can open an account?

To open an ISA individuals must be 18 years old or over. However, individuals aged 16 and over are entitled to open a Mini Cash ISA or the cash component of a Maxi ISA.

Individuals must be UK residents for tax purposes. People working abroad or spouses of individuals working abroad, for example Civil Servants or Armed Forces who are paid by the British Government, are also entitled to open an ISA. TESSA only ISAs are available to individuals who have a maturing TESSA and are aged 18 years and over.

ISAs cannot be held as joint accounts or on behalf of other individuals, although a married couple can invest up to £14,000 in total (£7,000 each).
